ACRE (Action Chelsea for Respect of the Environment) is a non-profit organization made up of concerned citizens working towards an environmentally healthy community. In March 2022, ACRE coordinated the purchase of the “100 Acre Wood” adjacent to Eco Echo as a conservation land trust.

Centre Wakefield La Pêche is an arts, culture and recreation venue, offering seasonal recreational programming, a bilingual summer camp, artistic presentations including live theatre, music, films, festivals, farmer’s market, year-round sports activities and the annual Earth Day Celebration.

Founder Dominique Laroque has been educating individuals of all ages on the health benefits of outdoor recreation, nature therapy and the healing arts since 1994.

Dendroica Environnement et Faune is a group of environmental consultants based in the Outaouais region, offering integrated wildlife and ecosystem management techniques throughout Quebec, as well as professional and technical services since 1997.

The EARTH PATH NATURE PROGRAM offers young people opportunities for nature-based, experiential learning that nurtures curiosity, self-confidence, and respect for each other and the land, actively supporting Eco Echo’s commitment to environmental engagement.

Environmental Management and Landscape Architecture offers integrated, multi-disciplinary design solutions in permaculture, sustainable land management, environmental design and landscape architecture. Brad Peterson provided the permaculture plan for the Eco Echo campus in 2008.

Forêt Capitale Forest mitigates the effects of climate change by facilitating the planting of forests and raising awareness of the importance of trees and biodiversity. They engage the local community to plant trees, link ecosystems, and steward resilient urban forests by enabling communities to become urban forest stewards through private and public landowner collaboration.

Friends of Gatineau Park is a co-operating, non-profit organization that works with park management to help foster this understanding and appreciation. It does this by providing volunteer support for the park’s interpretation program.

KHEWA in Wakefield, Quebec promotes and preserves the culture of native people. In a warm atmosphere, Khewa creates links and opens doors for a better understanding between native people and non-native people. Founder, artist and entrepreneur, Nathalie Coutou, partnered with Eco Echo in developing the philosophical basis for its educational and community connections.

La Pêche Global Forest is a nonprofit, citizen-led, municipality-wide initiative. Their hands-on response to the threat of climate change and diminishing tree cover is planting micro forests of indigenous species.

Mycologists amateur de l’Outaouais (MAO) has been operational since 1978 as a group of 200 amateurs of natural science. It offers weekly excursions, lectures and practical workshops recognizing the importance of nature to maintain environmental sustainability as well as gathering, identifying, and consuming wild mushrooms.

P3 Permaculture designs, shares and grows ecological solutions. It offers the internationally recognized Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course as well as workshops, talks and special events. It also provides consultation services from the initial brainstorming to the full implementation of the project.

Fondation SOI Foundation has provided unique educational expeditions to the Antarctic and the Arctic since 2000. Programs inspire high school students, educators, and scientists from around the world to foster a new understanding and respect for the planet.

Tree Canada is a not-for-profit, charitable organization established in 1992 that provides education, technical assistance, resources, and financial support to plant and care for trees and reduce the harmful effects of carbon dioxide emissions. Tree Canada partnered with Eco Echo in 2020 to plant 20,000 trees for carbon capture over the coming decades.

Tucker House Renewal Centre is a charitable retreat and environmental learning centre that promotes sustainable living. This 30-acre facility is located in Rockland, Ontario and offers environmental programs, workshops and activities for the local and wider community.

Wakefield, La Pêche Fair Trade Steering Committee facilitated recognition for the community as the first municipality/town in Quebec (the second in Canada) to be officially certified by TransFair Canada as a“Fair Trade Town”.

Sentiers Wakefield Trails is a not-for-profit organization aimed at promoting trail creation, maintenance and associated activities in Wakefield and La Peche.

Marc Walter, specializing in « land art » and making art fun and accessible, created « Le Souffle » for Eco Echo in the summer of 2012. Over the subsequent years, he has focused on creating ephemeral works using strictly natural materials. Active in over 50 collaborative school and community projects, Marc’s works were featured in September 2012 during the 24th Annual “Artists in their Environment Studio Tour”. In September 2021, Marc collaborated with over 100 community members to create “La Grande Nourricière”, a monumental sculpture made of cedar boughs.

Wildflower Farm in Orillia, Ontario is a popular destination for wildflower and native plant enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the gardens, take photos of flowers and butterflies, meet informative staff and buy the highest quality wildflower plants, seeds and seed mixes from the nursery.
