ACRE (Action Chelsea for Respect of the Environment) is a non-profit organization made up of concerned citizens working towards an environmentally healthy community. Forêt Capitale Forest mitigates the effects of climate change by facilitating the planting of forests and raising awareness of the importance of trees and biodiversity. KHEWA in Wakefield, Quebec promotes and preserves the culture of native people. In a warm atmosphere, Khewa creates links and opens doors for a better understanding between native people and non-native people. Mycologists amateur de l’Outaouais (MAO) has been operational since 1978 as a group of 200 amateurs of natural science. It offers weekly excursions, lectures and practical workshops recognizing the importance of nature to maintain environmental sustainability as well as gathering, identifying, and consuming wild mushrooms. www.mao-qc.ca

P3 Permaculture designs, shares and grows ecological solutions. It offers the internationally recognized Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) course as well as workshops, talks and special events. Tree Canada is a not-for-profit, charitable organization established in 1992 that provides education, technical assistance, resources, and financial support to plant and care for trees and reduce the harmful effects of carbon dioxide emissions. Wakefield, La Pêche Fair Trade Steering Committee facilitated recognition for the community as the first municipality/town in Quebec (the second in Canada) to be officially certified by TransFair Canada as a“Fair Trade Town”. https://www.fairtradevillage.ca/

Marc Walter, specializing in « land art » and making art fun and accessible, created « Le Souffle » for Eco Echo in the summer of 2012. Over the subsequent years, he has focused on creating ephemeral works using strictly natural materials. Active in over 50 collaborative school and community projects, Marc’s works were featured in September 2012 during the 24th Annual “Artists in their Environment Studio Tour”. In September 2021, Marc collaborated with over 100 community members to create “La Grande Nourricière”, a monumental sculpture made of cedar boughs. www.marcwalter.ca
